The documentary THE BLESSING OF THE HORSESHOE has its Dutch premiere on Sunday, February 21, at the DocFeed Film Festival in Eindhoven. The film is about Tijs Groen, a former top athlete (3x Dutch Champion) who decided to quit athletics to pursue a special musical dream in southern Spain.

Tijs had always played guitar as a hobby but never considered becoming a professional musician, unlike his brother Kobus, who is a full-time bassist for Miss Montreal. In 2013, Tijs came second in 'De beste gitarist van Nederland' (The Best Guitarist of the Netherlands), organized by the AVRO, and this motivated him to move to the coastal town of La Herradura ('Horseshoe') in Andalusia. There, he lives in a converted van, studies the Spanish guitar, meets inspiring musicians, and plays in bars and restaurants or simply on the street whenever he feels like it.

DocFeed takes place on February 19, 20, and 21 at the TAC, Vonderweg 1 in Eindhoven.
THE HORSESHOE'S HAPPINESS will be screened in the English subtitled version on Sunday, February 21 at 5:00 PM in the Garden Room.
Prior to the film screening, Tijs Groen will play live music in the festival café.

A day ticket for the entire Sunday costs 12.50.
