The 14th edition of Final Cut in Venice, part of the Venice Production Bridge during the 83rd Venice Film Festival, takes place from September 6 to 8 and selected six post-production films from Africa and six Middle Eastern countries. Notable titles include A Quarter to Thursday by Sofia Djama and Eldorado, the Taste of the South by Alaa Eddine Aljem, both currently working on their second feature film. The program, co-funded by the European Commission’s MEDIA program and supported by the Red Sea Film Foundation, offers work-in-progress screenings for producers, distributors, and festival programmers, with La Biennale di Venezia awarding a prize of €10,000 for the best post-production film.
