The 39th European Film Awards will be presented in Athens on 16 January 2027, with the second submission period now open for feature films, documentaries, and animated films premiering between 1 June and 30 September 2026. Films are eligible if they feature a European director, are destined for theatrical release, and had their first official screening between 1 October 2025 and 30 September 2026. The early bird rate is 80 euros until 31 July 2026, after which the standard rate of 100 euros applies, while the general submission deadline is 15 September 2026.
