KVIFF Industry Days (5–8 July) presents 38 projects this year across five programme strands of the KVIFF Promises platform, with the second edition of KVIFF Central Stage showcasing eleven fiction films by established filmmakers from Central and Eastern Europe, including new projects by Nicolas Steiner, Antonio Lukich, Marysia Nikitiuk, and Goran Vojnović. New this year is Book-to-Screen at KVIFF, an initiative that aims to build a regional market for adaptation rights by presenting eight literary works with strong adaptation potential, ranging from memoir and folkloric horror to dystopian satire and graphic fiction, while a producers' think tank aims to strengthen collaboration between the film and publishing sectors.
