The 36th edition of Animafest Zagreb concluded with two main prizes, with Natalia Mirzoyan's Armenian-Estonian short film Winter in March winning the Grand Prix for short films because the jury appreciated the handcrafted technique and the balance between documentary seriousness and humor, while Félix Dufour-Laperrière's Canadian-French Death Does Not Exist received the Grand Prix for feature films. Conor Kehelly's A Pint of Bitter received the Golden Zagreb Award, while Jocelyn Charles won the Zlatko Grgić Award for God is Shy. Sam Kuwa received the Dušan Vukotić Award for So He Grabbed the Knife and Ana Horvat's School Show triumphed in the Croatian competition.
