At the 25th edition of the Tribeca Film Festival, the top prizes went to the American production Cotton Fever by Daniel Blake Schwartz, which won both the Founders Award for Best US Narrative Feature and the award for cinematography, and to the Canadian co-production Labrador – Autopsy of Silence by Rodrigue Jean, which took home three international awards. The Maltese-German-Qatari co-production Żejtune by Alex Camilleri won Best International Screenplay, while Dina Duma received the Nora Ephron Award for Skateboarding Is Not for Girls, a North Macedonian-Belgian-Slovenian-Croatian production. The Siege of Paradise, an Irish-Swiss co-production, received a Special Jury Mention for cinematography.
