Matiss Kaza, the Oscar-winning Latvian producer of *Flow*, is stepping in as co-producer of *Times New Roman*, the second feature film by Ukrainian director Philip Sotnychenko, which is being pitched this week at the Transilvania Pitch Stop co-production forum. The film follows Kyiv-based artist Roman, who grapples with a midlife crisis and alcohol addiction during the war, as he travels across Europe to reenact historical attacks on Ukrainian political exiles. Sotnychenko describes the project as an intertwining of personal story, artistic gesture, and political inquiry, with production continuing despite significant physical, mental, and financial challenges thanks to a broad European co-production network.
