At the 44th Bellaria Film Festival, Enrico Vannucci, Deputy Executive Director of Eurimages, presented the operation of the European co-production fund to the industry present. The fund, which covers 39 European countries plus Canada, has a total budget of 32 million euros, 92% of which goes to cinematographic co-productions. Vannucci emphasized that a new Film Marketing & Audience Development program is aimed at broader international distribution of supported films, requiring producers to consider the circulation of their work early in the process. In terms of gender equality, Eurimages supported more films by female directors than by male directors in 2024, while this trend reversed in 2025.
