Visions du Réel presents its 57th edition (April 17–26) with 128 films from 75 countries, including 83 world premieres and 58 debut films, while 44% of the selected films are directed by women. New this year is the Borderlight section, dedicated to feature films employing documentary approaches, for which European titles such as Dao by Alain Gomis and Forest High by Manon Coubia have been selected. The festival opens with Cover-Up by Laura Poitras, who will be present as guests of honor alongside Kelly Reichardt, Sergei Loznitsa, and Meriem Bennani. Three Swiss productions are included in the international competition, including Dentro by Elsa Amiel and Heat by Jacqueline Zünd.
