Six notable animation projects were pitched at the 28th edition of Cartoon Movie in Bordeaux. Francesco Forti presented Riamise, a 2D action thriller combining ecology and crime, scheduled for release in 2029. Puk Grasten's Betty Balloon, a preschool film about friendship and tolerance, is scheduled for Danish release in October 2026. Jim Queen by Marco Nguyen and Nicolas Athané depicts a Parisian gay community struck by a virus, while Blaise by Dimitri Planchon and Jean-Paul Guigue, based on Planchon's own comic strip, is in post-production with Léa Drucker and Jacques Gamblin in the cast. Tomm Moore is developing Kindred Spirits, a historical adventure about Irish and Choctaw youth, and Christian De Vita's Caruso portrays the legendary tenor through seventeen remastered versions of the film.
