The 76th Berlinale opened with Shahrbanoo Sadat's Afghan rom-com "No Good Men," which offers a crowd-pleasing look at the fall of Kabul. Artistic director Tricia Tuttle, in office since 2024, has shifted the festival's focus to strengthening the synergy between press, audiences, and the European Film Market (EFM). The program includes 270 films, highlighted by Kornél Mundruczó's "At the Sea," and focuses on emerging filmmakers and lesser-known authors.
